Environmental Planners - Santa Clarita

Christopher A. Joseph & Associates (CAJA), an environmental planning and research firm, is seeking qualified, dependable, and self-motivated individuals for our Santa Clarita, CA office. CAJA specializes in the management and preparation of environmental documents including environmental impact reports and statements (EIRs and EISs), assessments, initial studies, and mitigation monitoring reports in accordance with the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) and the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA). CAJA is a private consulting practice that has provided environmental planning services to public and private sector clients for over 14 years.

CAJA is currently seeking to fill entry-level and mid-level Environmental Planner positions to assist staff with research, data collection, presentation graphics, document production, proof-reading/editing and report writing. CAJA is seeking flexible, motivated and goal-oriented professionals with strong analysis and documentation skills. Excellent written and oral communication skills and computer literacy are requisite. Primary responsibilities will include assisting the Project Managers in the preparation of CEQA/NEPA documentation. Specific job responsibilities include, but are not limited, to the following: data collection, internet research, proof-reading/editing, graphics production, report writing, site photography, and field surveys. Coursework and/or experience with CEQA and/or NEPA are strongly desired.

Required knowledge and skills may be demonstrated by a Bachelor's degree or higher with coursework in a related field (i.e., Physical Geography, Planning or Environmental Sciences). The ideal candidate will be a multi-disciplinary and well-rounded individual with a strong work ethic.
