City of Malibu Lead Agency: City of Malibu Date Completed: November 2002 The Malibu Forge Lodge Bed & Breakfast project requires the approval of certain discretionary actions by the United States Army Corps of Engineers, the United States Fish and Wildlife Service, the California Coastal Commission, the California Department of Fish and Game, and the California Department of Transportation (CALTRANS). Forge Lodge, would consist of a 32-unit bed and breakfast lodge. The lodge would consist of eight two-story buildings, each containing four units. A pool and adjoining deck would also be constructed on the project site. The project includes a right-of-way easement along the Solstice Canyon Creek, providing public access to the Dam Blocker State Beach and the Santa Monica Mountains National Recreation Area.
