Summary
Ms. Kathy Paspalis is an attorney who brings over five years of municipal law, land use and planning, and CEQA EIR review and litigation experience to CAJA. Prior to joining CAJA, Ms. Paspalis worked at a small municipal law firm that is city attorney for five small California cities, counsel to joint powers agencies, water districts, and special counsel to over a dozen other cities throughout the state. Ms. Paspalis has worked in the role of planning commission counsel, and served governmental agency clients in a wide variety of advisory roles, including assisting in the redrafting of a city's entire municipal code. Ms. Paspalis received her B.A. in Economics and Political Science from Pennsylvania's Bucknell University and her J.D. from the Southwestern University School of Law in Los Angeles, where she was the recipient of a Public Interest Law Grant and a member of the Trial Advocacy Team. She has been a member of the California bar since 1996. Ms. Paspalis joined CAJA in 2007 and is based out of the firm's Downtown Los Angeles office.
